The Georgia Student Assessment Program measures achievement of the state mandated curriculum—the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE)—and includes the following tests.
Kindergarteners take GKIDS, the Georgia Kindergarten Inventory of Developing Skills.
Grades 3, 4, and 5, take the Georgia Milestones in April, a combination of multiple choice, as well as constructed and extended responses where students show their work. The assessment is administered both on-line and with paper and pencil, and includes a writing component within the English Language Arts section.
In the fall, grades 1, 3, and 5, take the following tests to allow teachers to individualize their instruction. Parents will receive the results of these tests.
